Standard Poodles For You is the website where you can find home raised puppies and information on questions in having and raising one. I am here to provide you with hospitality, not just a service in getting you your next pet. I want to provide your puppy with a loving environment, health tested parents and so much more.

We are dedicated to breeding healthy and happy LARGER than usual (Royal in marketing terms) AKC Standard Poodles by structure analysis of "To Be" parents. Embark full DNA health & body panels, Early Neurologic Stimulation (ENS), chiropractic pet care, and more are among our protocol.

Tes came to TX May to August 2025: I want to acknowledge an express appreciation for Tes exceptional efforts in establishing and maintaining a safe environment for my poodles. The dedication shown in ensuring the well being and safety of my future poodle puppies is commendable. Tes created a truly puppy safe environment with a puppy park, cedar ramp, pea rock flushing area, and buffer zones so they were protected from other animals. I see her understanding of their physical, mental, and emotional needs in all she established in and around my home. Several things I wasn't fully cognizant of were:

• designated safe spaces
• comfortable retreats
• familiarizing them with loud noises or unfamiliar people
• and so many innumerable points as a breeder I would never have thought of. Her 20 plus years has taught her so much that she shared stories that were priceless.

I feel I have a much better hazard free environment, identifying and eliminating potential dangers, like toxic substances, exposed electronic wires or objects that could cause injury was crucial.

Adequate physical and mental stimulation, regular exercise, playtime and access to mentally engaging activities like tunnels, chew toys were added and are essential for preventing boredom and learning to reach, as Tes words it. Consistency and routine establishing predicable schedules for feeding, walks and playtime helps these puppies feel secure and reduces anxiety. Her commitment to creating this environment here addresses all these factors, not only contributes to the physical health and safety of the puppies and mom, under her care but also has a significant positive inpact on their mental and emotional well being. A safe and stimulating environment promotes their confidence enhancing their quality of life. Your actions are making a real difference in the lives of these puppies happiness, security and overall health.

"Hinata" is a Bruno granddaughter. I LOVE the Blacks, yet will produce various colors depending on the stud chosen. With Hinata's first upcoming litter with Brown stud named "Gary", colors and sizes will be Royal Black, Brown, some light colored pups? and we stay tuned... Puppy colors will vary depending on sire used.

At Standard Poodles For You, you'll find home raised, parent tested, structure evaluated, working for calmer personality. Always AKC, larger in size called Royals or Giant, yet standards in every litter (newer marketing is "Pony Size"). There's never a guarantee in size, yet larger is my focus. Sizes will range from 55 to 85+ lbs. Black Royal Female "Hinata" above, LOVES to play in the ocean! 

So, Grand Caniche is French meaning Royal - they are AKC Standard Poodles - Royal Standard Poodles has become known and defined for larger then usual poodles - STRICTLY a marketing term. And now DNA can help those of us desiring to breed Royals (larger) to help create them. With Embark DNA, we look for the marker NN or NI in the parents. Desiring to mate NNs to NI or another NN to produce your larger standard poodle. Mother Nature ALWAYS has the last say! 

AKC defines a Standard Poodle as "over 15" at the highest point of the shoulders," the withers. There is NO cap on a standard poodle height. My pups here in TX, will grow from 20" up to 31+" in the top 25% of a litter. Average for females will be at the whithers from 17" up to 29"+ ave. wt. 55-70+ lbs and males will be ave. wt. 65-85+ lbs.

Please don't let another breeder discredit a good Royal Standard Poodles program. Ask that individual/breeder what tests they are doing on their standard poodles, are they taking annual educational seminars to improve health and good breeding practices? Why are they nattering or murmuring against another? Fact; some of us do all testing and structure analysis as should be done by a breeder, assuring we provide the healthiest top quality pet for you and their future. If a breeder can't answer your questions on testing, move on and find a reputable breeder that will...if that is your desire. We're getting education from AKC and other forums that are VITAL for the poodles future and your future pet.

MANY of us LOVE our Royal Standard Poodle, larger than what is common in the show ring (40 lb females to 60 lb males). We find they have a MUCH DIFFERENT character then most standards...you have to have/had one to experience this. Isn't that up to us as individuals what we want to enjoy; or breed? Not someone else telling us what we should/shouldn't have?? Those are the pleasures of life! Yet ALWAYS ask your questions, home raised, health tested, structure analyzed, registered, FULL tail and dew claws to keep tendons stable and strong, maintaining leg strength to help avoid torn leg ligaments.

We've heard the phrase "In a Perfect World"...In 2004 TI started in MN to create "A Perfect World" Royal Standard Poodle line. Testing parents to better the odds for "healthier" pets, observing and analyzing structure, research, research, time, time, it all takes time. I've purchased from her program and have done all the health testing for the breed standards AND more! A breeders program takes MONEY and time!

Dr. John B. Armstrong writes it well, "All dogs (and living organisms) are carriers of multiple mutations. If a genetic disease is produced in an animal, it is not necessarily the result of poor breeding practices, but is the nature of inheritance as a random event. There is no such thing as a perfect animal". (Mutt, Designer breed or Purebred)

The best a consumer can do is research who you would like to get your next pet from, asking breeders to test and work with one who health tests parents. THAT is looking out for the standard poodle's future so we have them there to enjoy in our future.

More on the term Royal (some redundancy): Many ask for the definition to this with my AKC Poodle Puppies for Sale. There are many viewpoints in the world of what designates a Royal. The one book that actually defines Royal - the dictionary - you'll find the word "regal". This exemplifies these poodles size and temperament to a T!

With the correct matings, TI, KB, and I grow the puppies "UP" in size 50% of the time. See each parent's data tabs on the left.

When the girls or boys are spayed/neutered, on average they grow taller instead of fuller when done 5-6 months of age (my contract must wait to 10-12 months). Their hormones, when done early, do not focus on filling out masculinely or working to become a dam. Instead the body continues to grow in another dimension :o) one can see this in bulls vss steers.
